A special weather statement from Environment Canada is advising there’s a possibility of “significant rainfall” across Windsor-Essex on Thursday evening going into Friday morning.
The statement went into effect around 11:15 a.m. Thursday.
According to Environment Canada’s meteorologists, periods of rain are expected for “extreme Southwestern Ontario” this afternoon.
Chatham-Kent is also a part of the affected area, as are other regions extending to Niagara.
Total rainfall could range from 30 to 45 millimetres before tapering off Friday night.
