Heavy rains that caused widespread flooding forced the cancellation of some Thursday afternoon school buses.
For the public school board, afternoon buses were cancelled at A.V. Graham and D.M. Eagle Public School. Students were to be held at the school until they are able to be picked up.
At Tecumseh Vista Academy, eight elementary school buses — Nos. 107, 110, 112, 130, 137, 174, 195 and 9178 — and 12 secondary school buses — Nos. 110, 126, 137, 146, 164, 174, 185, 190, 195, 196, 8199 and 9441 — were not running Thursday.
At the Catholic board, buses were cancelled for St. Pius and St. Andre Elementary schools.
