A major storm system is headed to Windsor with the chance of heavy snow and freezing rain.
Environment Canada has issued an alert that the storm is expected to hit southern Ontario Wednesday and Thursday.
A low pressure system developing over the southern U.S. states will move northeast to reach southern Ontario by Wednesday with rain, significant snow in some areas and the possibility of freezing rain.
It’s uncertain which areas will take the heaviest hits of snow and freezing rain. Environment Canada said it will issue updates as the storm system evolves.
