The sky turned grey and then a shade of green as a wicked storm rolled through Windsor and Essex County Wednesday afternoon. More nasty weather is in the forecast.
The storm came on the heels of morning thunderstorms that felled tree limbs and caused power outages.
The area remained under a Severe Thunderstorm Warning at 5:20 p.m. Wednesday.
“Environment Canada meteorologists are tracking a line of severe thunderstorms capable of producing very strong wind gusts, dime to nickel size hail and heavy rain,” said Environment Canada in a bulletin issued at 5:10 p.m. “The thunderstorms are located along a north-south line over western Lake St. Clair and moving east at 70 km/h.”
