Winter weather affects blood donations in Windsor

Canadian Blood Services is asking donors to come in from the cold.

Joan Hannah, community development co-ordinator for the Windsor Blood Donor Clinic, said Thursday recent heavy snow has led to a drop in attendance at blood donor clinics. To make up the shortfall, blood services is inviting donors to come in over the next several days  at the clinic at 3909 Grand Marais Rd. E. to give blood.

The sessions are set for Tuesday, Friday and Saturday — 8 a.m. to noon, Wednesday, 3 to 7 p.m. Thursday, noon to 8 p.m. The clinic is closed Monday.
