It’s the winter that won’t let up — Environment Canada has issued a snowfall warning for Essex County.
Senior Environment Canada climatologist Dave Phillips said Windsor will likely get 15 centimetres of snow in a 12-hour period, starting sometime this evening.
“You just set the snow record for January and now it looks like February is going to try to do the same thing,” Phillips said. “It just won’t let up.”
Not only is more snow coming, but so too are wind and cold temperatures. It will be blowing 30 km/h, gusting up to 50 km/h. And while Wednesday will warm a little to -3 C, Thursday will see a high of -7 C and Friday will manage no better than -10 C.
