Eastbound Highway 401 reopened

OPP reports that Highway 401 eastbound between Highway 77 and Essex County Road 42 in Lakeshore, which was closed earlier due to hazardous road conditions, has now been reopened.

OPP is reminding the motoring public to use extreme caution as blowing and drifting snow is causing isolated areas of county roads to become slippery and icy.

Take extra time to arrive safely at your destination and if you don’t have to travel, stay off area roads.
